Brooklyn Windmuppets

T20 social kind of competitive

Brooklyn Windmuppets

Brooklyn Windmuppets have been a team that has been in existence since the early 90s. They used to play in the two-day grade competition from approximately 1992 to 2016 under the guise of the 'Brooklyn Windmills', where they won the grade on three occasions.

The original captain, Allan Pragnell, is one of the club's highest run scorers with over 10,000 runs to his name. The team was highly successful in the 2B grade throughout the mid to late-90s and well into the 2000s. Duncan Field captained the team to a grade win during 2010/11 and  Dan Wilkinson led them to another grade win in 2014/15.

After almost 25 years of playing in the longer formats, the team decided that they would move to T20 in the 2017/18 season where Dan resumed the captaincy and has continued to this current day.

Team news

Looking forward to the 2022/23 season

After a few tough seasons playing in Division 2, the side is looking forward to being relegated and playing in Division 3 with an average age of the side currently about late 40s.

The team is a wonderful bunch of lads whose behaviour on and off the field lives up to their namesake.

Keep an eye on the website to see when pre-season nets are planned and the 2022 season club day.
